• Michel is an excellent professional. He is extremely competent in his duties, committed to the cause, and with a strong spirit of leadership. In addition to admiring him for his technical capacity, I recognize his ability to manage conflicts, prioritize activities, strategic vision, and above all for his humility. Michel is an excellent professional who has the ability to listen to a junior professional, ponder and share his knowledge, he is a Talent multiplier. I feel honored for the time we worked together.

• It was a privilege working with Michel in the same project for a few years. He is on my top 5 list of best developers I have ever worked with. I have seen him evolve in his career since he joined Summa as a developer to a true architect and technical leader. I hope we are able to work together again in the future.

• First time I met Michel during NetCAT 6.5 program in which he helped us stabilize NetBeans IDE 6.5. He also took part in NetCAT 6.7 but he truly excelled in NetCAT 6.8. I was very pleased by his extraordinary activity which logically resulted in winning him the 3rd place out of 90 participants. He is not only a good tester though. Michel helped to shape our NetFIX program and he is also a member of Voice of Community team. To date Michel reported several hundreds bugs, submitted tens of RFEs, contributed many bug fixes and participated in several surveys. He is also very active on public mailing lists. NetBeans project is proud of such a talented and passionate community member!

• Michel has been a super-star community lead for Netbeans. He has been involved in forums, testing and localization, at the very least. As soon as he joined the NetBeans localization project, he immediately volunteered to lead and project manage the Brazilian team. But soon he was a respected leader in the entire translatedfiles.netbeans.org project. He helped with workspace and file management. As well, he created tools and processes that other teams adopted. He answered questions and welcomed new members. At User Groups and Developer Conferences, Michel gave talks and presentations on community and technical topics. Although I collaborated with Michel on a virtual team, I was fortunate to meet him a couple times in person at events in Brazil. Michel is poised for great success because he is a go-getter, collaborator and leader!

• Michel is a great developer that have helped the open source community by officially managing NetBeans sub-projects. He's a very dedicated and high skilled professional within Java technologies as well with Linux and databases. I'd recommend his work without any hesitation.
